Choose the bat that suits your game

A good cricket bat is not just about the number on a weighing scale. Pickup, balance, profile, pressing and where the bat carries its wood all affect how it feels in your hands.

1. Start with pickup and balance

Two bats at the same weight can feel completely different. A well-balanced bat can feel lighter and move more naturally through the shot. Choose a weight you can control for a full innings, not just for a few swings.

2. Choose the profile for your style

Duckbill profile: a clean, balanced shape suited to players who value pickup, bat speed and control through drives and straight-bat shots.

Mid-to-low profile: carries more wood lower down the blade and is useful for players on lower-bounce wickets or those who like extra power through the bottom half of the bat.

3. Willow is a natural material

Grains, shade, small marks and cosmetic character can vary from bat to bat. More or straighter grains do not automatically mean better performance. We select bats with performance, balance and overall quality in mind.
